Nails Of The Week | Barry M Sunset

Barry M once again released a new nail polish collection "Daylight curing" - a range of nail paints that deliver a gel-like finish and feel without the need for UV lights and once again I was tempted to try it out.

First of all I love the rose gold lids (who doesn't love rose gold?) and I'm really impressed by the new shape applicator which is much wider and because of that the application went on perfectly.

The polishes come with directions on how to use. First you need to polish two layers of the Sunset nail paint and then apply Sunset top coat (other top coat will not work). And then expose your nails to direct sunlight and it will cure your nails meaning it will last longer and will give you that professional gel nail look.

I love the shade I bought, "Out Of My Red". It's a beautiful ruby red, perfect summer shade, usually reds don't look very pleasant on me but this one suits me very well, love it!

Barry M claims that these polishes can last up to 10 days but unfortunately theses only lasted up to 4 days on me, I'm used to my nails lasting up to 2 weeks with my favourite Sally Hansen top coat so this was a total disappointment. I might try the polish without using the sunset coat and see how long it lasts, maybe it's just a terrible top coat.

Overall I love the polishes especially the bright shades but the top coat just seemed useless, It didn't do anything for me so I'm just going pass it on to my sister hehe.
